  • A dedicated RV partner page with details for dealers
  • Licensed agents who focus on RV coverage
  • Proof of insurance help for finance and delivery

Personal & Commercial · Quick Quotes – Good Rates · Great Companies

As an independent agency, we compare RV insurance from the companies we work with, so your customers are not limited to one company’s price or rules. Which companies can quote a customer depends on what they want to insure, where they live, and each company’s own rules.

  • GEICO
  • Progressive
  • National General
  • Grange
  • Liberty Mutual
  • Travelers
  • Nationwide
  • Foremost
  • Chubb
  • The Hartford
  • Lemonade
  • Hagerty
  • Clearcover
  • CNA
  • Hiscox
  • State Auto
  • Steadily
  • Obie
  • Open Road
  • Neptune Flood

These logos show some of the insurance companies Kaufman Insurance Group may be able to quote as an independent agency. Showing a logo does not mean the company endorses us. Which companies can offer you coverage depends on the type of insurance, where you live, and each company’s own rules.

What your customers need

What RV buyers need insured

Motorhomes need liability coverage to be driven on the road, much like a car. Towable RVs, such as travel trailers and fifth wheels, usually are not required to carry their own liability insurance by law, but lenders require physical damage coverage on a financed unit, and the buyer’s truck policy usually does not pay to repair or replace the trailer.

RV buyers also ask about the belongings they keep inside, campsite liability (which helps if a guest is hurt at their campsite), roadside help sized for large vehicles, and full-timer coverage for people who live in their RV. Those questions come up at the finance desk and on delivery day, which is why we built a program just for RV businesses.

Motorized RVs

Class A, B, and C motorhomes need road liability plus physical damage coverage for the RV itself.

Towable RVs

Travel trailers, fifth wheels, pop-ups, and toy haulers need physical damage coverage that the tow vehicle’s policy usually does not provide.

Full-time RVers

Buyers who will live in the RV need coverage that works more like a homeowners policy.

Financed units

Lenders need proof of coverage with the lienholder listed before the deal file is complete.

Common questions

Questions from RV dealers

Why is the RV partner program on a different website?

RVInsurancePlans.com is Kaufman Insurance Group’s companion site for RV owners and RV businesses. Keeping the RV program there lets us give RV dealers, parks, and shops details that fit their business. The same licensed agents handle the work.

Does a buyer’s truck insurance cover a new travel trailer?

The truck’s policy may extend some liability while towing, but it usually does not pay to repair or replace the trailer or cover the belongings inside. A separate RV policy is the usual way to protect the trailer itself.

Can I send buyers for boats and powersports too?

Yes. Many RV dealers also sell boats, motorcycles, ATVs, UTVs, or golf carts. See our boat dealer and powersports dealer pages, or call us with the buyer.

What do you need from us to start a referral?

Fill out the referral form, or send the buyer to your personal referral page to fill it out. We take it from there.

Will my staff need to explain insurance to customers?

No. Your team only needs to fill out the referral form or point the customer to your personal referral page. Unless someone on your staff holds an insurance license, questions about coverage, limits, and price should come to our licensed agents.
